Trevor obtained his Masters Degree in Business Administration (MBA) from the Post Graduate Institute of Management, Sri Jayawardanapura University and obtained his second Masters Degree in Management from the prestigious Massey University in Auckland, New Zealand. He also holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Business & Financial Administration from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka and an Associate Member (fully qualified) of the Institute of Bankers of Sri Lanka. He is also a Fellow member of the Chartered Management Institute of UK. Presently he is reading for his Doctoral studies (PhD).
He started his career as a Banker in his teens at Hatton National Bank and then moved to New Zealand where he worked at ANZ Bank in Auckland while reading for his second Masters Degree. On his return to Sri Lanka in 2004, he joined PABC Bank as an Assistant General Manager where he functioned as the Assistant General Manager - Leasing and Assistant General Manager, Corporate Planning & Business Development. He possesses 24 years of experience in all spheres of Banking both Locally and Internationally.
His academic experience includes, functioning as a visiting lecturer for MBA programmes at the Australian College of Business and Technology (ACBT), Post Graduate Institute of Management (PIM), American College of Higher Education, American National College (ANC), Imperial Institute of Higher Education, University of Wales and Sri Lanka Institute of Marketing (SLIM). He also functioned and provided advisory services in his personal capacity as a Strategist designing Strategic Plans and Business Models for companies and as a Management Consultant on re-engineering and re-structuring affairs for financially insecure companies.
He contributes as a resource person in the faculty of Academic Research and has successfully supervised several MBA and BSc dissertations His research arenas are Customer Satisfaction, Service Quality, CSR & Ethics, Credit Card Industry, Consumer Behaviour etc., encapsulating the spheres of Management, Banking and Social Science. He has also written articles/research publications on Change Management and Job satisfaction of Managers at Call Centres in New Zealand.
He has written several articles on Change Management, Ethics, Stress Management, Emotional Intelligence, Corporate Governance, etc., for various leading magazines in Sri Lanka. His wide Research includes Banking, Advanced Management, General Management, Consumer Behaviour, Ethics and CSR and HR.
