Trevor obtained his Masters Degree in Business Administration (MBA) from the Post Graduate Institute of Management, Sri Jayawardanapura University and obtained his second Masters Degree in Management from the prestigious Massey University in Auckland, New Zealand. He also holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Business & Financial Administration from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka and an Associate Member (fully qualified) of the Institute of Bankers of Sri Lanka. He is also a Fellow member of the Chartered Management Institute of UK. Presently he is reading for his Doctoral studies (PhD).

He started his career as a Banker in his teens at Hatton National Bank and then moved to New Zealand where he worked at ANZ Bank in Auckland while reading for his second Masters Degree. On his return to Sri Lanka in 2004, he joined PABC Bank as an Assistant General Manager where he functioned as the Assistant General Manager - Leasing and Assistant General Manager, Corporate Planning & Business Development. He possesses 24 years of experience in all spheres of Banking both Locally and Internationally.

His academic experience includes, functioning as a visiting lecturer for MBA programmes at the Australian College of Business and Technology (ACBT), Post Graduate Institute of Management (PIM), American College of Higher Education, American National College (ANC), Imperial Institute of Higher Education, University of Wales and Sri Lanka Institute of Marketing (SLIM). He also functioned and provided advisory services in his personal capacity as a Strategist designing Strategic Plans and Business Models for companies and as a Management Consultant on re-engineering and re-structuring affairs for financially insecure companies.

He contributes as a resource person in the faculty of Academic Research and has successfully supervised several MBA and BSc dissertations His research arenas are Customer Satisfaction, Service Quality, CSR & Ethics, Credit Card Industry, Consumer Behaviour etc., encapsulating the spheres of Management, Banking and Social Science. He has also written articles/research publications on Change Management and Job satisfaction of Managers at Call Centres in New Zealand.

He has written several articles on Change Management, Ethics, Stress Management, Emotional Intelligence, Corporate Governance, etc., for various leading magazines in Sri Lanka. His wide Research includes Banking, Advanced Management, General Management, Consumer Behaviour, Ethics and CSR and HR.

Dr. Thilaka S. Weerakoon

Dr. Weerakoon has an MSc in Industrial Engineering and a PhD in Management from Cranfield University, UK. He has over 20 years of academic experience at Hong Kong Polytechnic University where he started out as a lecturer and progressed to the status of being a Visiting 'Fellow.'

He is also a respected 'Fellow' of a number of other prestigious professional organizations such as the Institute of Electrical Engineers (UK), Institute of Mechanical Engineers (UK), Institution of Manufacturing Engineers (UK), and is a Chartered Engineer of the Engineering Council (UK). Prior to joining Hong Kong Polytechnic University, he has been a lecturer at the University of Moratuwa, the University of Colombo and visiting lecturer at the University of Sri Jayawardanapura.

He has also served as a Senior Consultant to NIBM, Chairman and Managing Director of the Ceylon State Hardware Corporation, Vice Chairman & CEO of the Sri Lanka Standards Institution, and Director, National Metrication Authority of Sri Lanka. On his return to Sri Lanka in 2002 he also served as the Deputy Chairman and Executive Director of the Central Engineering Consultancy Bureau (CECB).

As an academic he has published many articles in various International Journals and has successfully supervised many MSc, DBA and PhD dissertations.

Mr. Methsiri Weerakkody holds a BSc in Engineering from the University of Peradeniya and a Masters Degree in Operations Research from the University of Sussex, U.K. He is a Chartered Engineer having received the Corporate Membership of the Institution of Engineers Sri Lanka. Starting his career as an R & D Engineer at State Engineering Corporation he changed his discipline and focus to Industrial Engineering and Management as Senior Consultant at NIBM. He has several consultancy assignments to his credit with a customer base ranging from the World Bank, ILO, and WHO to several Private and Public Enterprises. His International experience includes ZCCM Zambia (One of the largest mining corporations in the world) as Head of Operations Research, Marley – NZ and Fletcher Challenge – NZ in Technical / Supply chain Management roles and as General Manager of Flexible Automation New Zealand (GE-Fanuc agent). In Sri Lanka, he has held the positions of Strategic Planning Manager – (Central Finance – CIL) and also as CEO of Amano and Tivoli Group of Companies. He is the Managing Partner of a Small but powerful consulting unit – GP Consult (NZ) that provides services in Efficiency Engineering, Strategic Management and Computer Applications.

Dr. Warnakulasuriya is a Senior Lecturer of the University of Sri Jayawardanapura. He has obtained his basic Degree and his MBA from the University of Colombo with a dissertation in Marketing. He has also obtained his PHD in Marketing from the University of Poona, India.

Dr. Warnakulasuriya is also a Visiting Lecturer of the Universities of Colombo, Kelaniya, Moratuwa and Rajarata teaching Marketing Management subjects at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Dr. Warnakulasuriya is also a Fellow of the Nottingham Business School in the United Kingdom and Visiting Researcher of the International University of Japan. He has supervised several BSc & MBA dissertations at various universities.

He has previously held prestigious positions such as Senior Lecturer in Law / Course Director, faculty of Law at the University of Colombo . His teaching experience spans 15 years of Undergraduate and Post Graduate Diplomas and 10 years of Post Graduate Programs. He is also a M.Phil and PhD thesis supervisor and examiner in local and foreign Universities.

A Legal Consultant/Industrial Trainer to the Private sector and Government Organizations and International NGOs he has published & represented research papers in Local and Foreign Universities. He has also won several awards such as the International Institute of Human Rights Award France 2000, International Bar Association Young Lawyers Award 2003 for the IBA Law conference, San Francisco, California USA in 2003 and Electronic Privacy Information Centre (USA), Privacy in new era (2004).

Having obtained her BA from the University of Peradeniya, Mrs. Saroja proceeded to do her MA in English and Education at the Sabaragamuwa University. She also possesses a PG Diploma (TESL). She started her career as an English lecturer at the University of Sri Jayawardanapura in the early 90s. She has served as the coordinator of the Business Communication programme run by the Human Resource Department in 1996/97. She has been lecturing at IIHE since 2006.

Dr. Yapa obtained his first Degree from the University of Kelaniya specializing in Industrial Management. Later he obtained a MBA from the Postgraduate Institute of Management of University of Sri Jayawardanapura. He obtained his PhD from the Material and Engineering Research Institute of Sheffield Halam University, United Kingdom in the field of Simulation. He has more than 20 years experience as a University lecturer. Dr. Yapa has presented a few research papers in international conferences and has published articles in academic journals. Before joining the University, he worked as a consultant in one of the leading consultancy firms in Sri Lanka.

Mr. Prasanna Perera, an MBA holder from the Postgraduate Institute of Management, University of Sri Jayawardanapura, is a Chartered Marketer and a Fellow of CIM, UK.

He has over 26 years of work experience out of which over 18 years lie in the area of Senior Management. He was the youngest Marketing Director of a leading conglomerate at the age of 28 and the youngest Marketing and Management Consultant at the age of 38. A Consulting strategist for over 30 organizations at present, which includes leading Blue Chips, Large Conglomerates, Large Family held businesses and SME’s, his total Consulting experience counts at 7 years to date. He also has lecturing expertise and experience in Marketing and Management for over 20 years.

Mr. Colonne was awarded the BSc degree in Mathematics and Physics by the University of Colombo in 1979. The same University awarded him the MA in Economics in 1996. He was awarded the MBA by the Post Graduate Institute of Management Sri Lanka in 1994.

Mr. Colonne has a very distinguished career since graduation holding positions as Chairman of the National Apprentice and Industrial Training Authority (NAITA); Membership of the Board of Directors of Vocational Training Authority of Sri Lanka (VTA), Ceylon German Technical Training Institute (GTTI),National Human Resource Development Council and Clothing Industry Training Institute.

He has functioned as a Lecturer in Contemporary Management Thought and Military Intelligence Analysis for the Sri Lanka Army, Sri Lanka Navy, Sri Lanka Air Force and the Police.

Other recent and current teaching engagements include, Visiting Lecturer in Management and in Economics for the MBA, MSc. & Post Graduate programmes of the University of Colombo, University of Moratuwa, University of Kelaniya, Sir John Kotalawela Defense University, Institute of Chartered Accountants, University of Wales & University of North-West. He is also a Fellow Member and the Director – Academic Studies (Honorary) of the Sri Lanka Institute of Training and Development (SLITAD).

Mr. Colonne has published a book titled "DNA of Roulette: The Simplest Grand Winning Strategy" and currently indulged in writing the book "Above Rationality: Strategy & Decision Optimization Under Conditions of Uncertainty".

Mr. Dilshan Rodrigo counts almost 20 years in Commercial Banking and Supply Chain Management. He is presently DGM Risk Management at Hatton National Bank. He was instrumental in setting up a dedicated Risk Management unit and has developed an ambitious roadmap for implementing global best in class Risk Management practices by end 2013.

Prior to this he spent 5 years at Brandix Apparels in a General Managerial Capacity, as Supply Chain Head of its Largest SBU. He was fortunate to obtain first hand training in Supply Chain Management from Thomas Group, a global consultancy firm specializing in this area.

Prior to joining the Apparel Industry he worked in Finance, Institutional Banking and Credit in a career spanning 10 years in two leading Foreign Banks – Standard Chartered and ANZ Grindlays. His last position at Standard Chartered Bank was as Head of Credit, holding the highest signing authority for the Corporate Banking portfolio of $220mio in Sri Lanka.

Dilshan holds a MBA from Cranfield University, in UK ( and is a Fellow of CIMA and ACCA Accounting bodies. He has actively served on both councils in Sri Lanka, particularly in the latter where he served two years as President, Sri Lanka Branch.

He is presently a guest lecturer and examiner for Strategic Management for the University of Wales MBA Program, conducted by its local affiliate, Imperial Institute. He has presented papers in various forums locally and overseas in Strategy and Risk Management.

Hussain is a member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (UK)., and Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka. He also holds a Masters Degree in Business Administration - Merit, from the Postgraduate Institute of Management, University of Sri Jayawardanapura. Education and Training being his forte he is a Corporate Trainer/Consultant engaged in training in the areas of Accounting and Finance, Communication and Presentation skills and Management. Hussain is also a visiting lecturer in many local and foreign Universities, and a former faculty member of the Bandaranaike Centre for International Studies (BCIS).

With a passion for education, training and development, he has lectured to over 1750 students and trained over 1250 individuals. He has over 20+ years experience of which 15+ years has been in the Corporate Finance sector of multinational and blue chip organizations. Hussain has also authored the chapters in Business Finance for the Certificate in Accounting and Business programme conducted by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka. He was the recipient of the prestigious PIM Achievers Award – 2004, awarded by the PIM Professionals Association, in recognition of services to business, society and the profession. He is also a past member of the Executive Committee of the PIM Alumni Association, and past Treasurer of the Colombo Toastmasters Club, amongst other prestigious positions held in many other organizations.

He was one of four Sri Lankans selected to represent Sri Lanka, as a part of the Group Study Exchange Team of the Rotary Foundation, touring the United Kingdom in 1997, and also selected to participate in the International Board & Management Programme sponsored by the Swedish International Co-operation Agency (SIDA) for members of SAARC countries, held in December 2003. A firm believer in the words of Dr. Phil McGraw, an American psychologist, who said "Stop complaining about what you're not getting, and start creating what you want."

Mr. Sanjeeva Perera is the Chief Executive Officer of Sumathi Information Technologies, Sri Lanka’s premier IT System Integration company and is armed with strong corporate customer accounts and over ten years of experience in IT Infrastructure solution domain. Before founding Sumathi Information Technologies, he was the Senior Manager of the Systems Integration division of ComputerLand.

Mr. Sanjeeva has over eighteen years of managerial experience in the IT industry. He was also instrumental in introducing Thin Client Computing solutions to the Sri Lankan market. Mr. Sanjeeva is a Computer Science and Engineering graduate from the University of Moratuwa, and holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Colombo.

Mr. Sanjeeva is also a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers ( IEEE ) USA, member of the Institution of Engineering and Technology ( IET ) UK and member of the Computer Society of Sri Lanka (CSSL).

Mr. Sanjeeva is a visiting lecturer for the MBA and MSc programmes at the University of Moratuwa, University of Kelaniya & Sri Lanka Institute of Information Technology.

CiscoSystems USA has awarded “Roll of Honour Award for Significant Contribution in Commercial Vertical in Sri Lanka” in 2008 & 2009 two consecutive years to Mr. Sanjeeva Perera.

Mr. Asith G. De Silva was awarded the BSc Degree in Information Technology by London Guildhall University, London, and MSc in Network Computing from Monash University, Melbourne, Australia. He has successfully completed the MBA programme conducted by the University of Wales of UK. He has worked as a Network Administrator/Network Engineer at Sri Lanka Technologies, and Worked as a Monitoring executive at the National Procurement Agency. He is currently functioning as the Managing Director at Ultimax (Pvt)Ltd and Coyote (Pvt)Ltd.

Nadeeja, a Civil Engineer by profession changed her career path by taking up a position at Merchant Bank upon graduation. She received industrial exposure in the Corporate Finance, Financial Management and Accounting areas while at Merchant Bank.

In the year 2000, Nadeeja embarked on a career in Academia and she is currently a senior lecturer in Quantitative Methods, Finance and Accounting for Undergraduate & Postgraduate programmes conducted by The Asia University, Imperial Institute of Higher Education and American College of Higher Education.

Nadeeja, in addition to the Engineering Degree from the University of Moratuwa, has an MBA from the Open University, Nawala, and is currently reading for her MSc in Applied Statistics at the University of Colombo. She is also an Associate of the Chartered institute of Management Accountants UK.

She has been working as a University Lecturer during the last eleven years and involved in designing and teaching numerous new modules for both Undergraduates and Post Graduates at national Universities in Sri Lanka and Japan, trialing new modes of assessment and patterns of delivery. She has exposure in the fields of Agricultural Economics and Business Management and is engaged in several internationally funded Research Projects. She was honored with the "The Dimitris N. Chorafas Foundation" award in 2005 for the most outstanding young researcher. Recently she was awarded a special Research Assignment by the UN Office in Sri Lanka.

Ms. Preethi Gunaratne at present holds the positions of an Independent Management Consultant and a Senior Lecturer.

She is currently is a doctoral candidate of the University of South Australia in Doctor of Business Administration (DBA). Ms. Gunaratne has successfully completed the Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Lincoln (UK), Holding a Diploma in Marketing from the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM- UK) and also holds a Management Diploma – Specialization in Front Office Management from the Ceylon Hotel School.

Ms. Gunaratne has gained over 5 years experience in strategy, management and marketing consultancy in diverse industries including real estate, tourism, media, KPO and education, over 10 years senior management experience in multi –disciplinary industries including conglomerates and public quoted companies in Sri Lanka and previously held positions such as Country Head, General Manager, Head of Marketing and many more titles. She has over 10 years experience in sales and marketing in media, real estate out of which five years was expertise gained in the hospitality industry (including five star hotels in Sri Lanka and in the Middle East), and also over five years experience in front office operations in the hotel industry in Sri Lanka and the Middle East. She has since then gained over 7 years experience in lecturing for Management, Marketing and Hospitality & Tourism curriculums in both Government and private Universities. She is also a distinguished Member of the Institute of Management Consultants of India (IMCI), a member of Global Marketing Network (GMN) and a member of the Sri Lanka Institute of Marketing (MSLIM).

Ms. Sankapali, has her BSc in Business Administration from the Clarion University of Pennsylvania, USA and MSc in Management Economics, from the University of Essex, UK. Her lecturing arenas are Economics and Advanced Economics. She is a free lance lecturer.
