Imperial Institute of Higher Education is one of the oldest private tertiary education institutions in Sri Lanka. Since establishment in 1996 IIHE has continued to produce high caliber professionals who are much sought after by industry.
IIHE offers degrees which are validated by the University of Wales, U.K. The continuing association since 1996, with the University Of Wales (UOW) is a very strong endorsement of IIHE’s ability to conform to the stringent Quality Assurance Systems of the UK enforced by UOW. Since validation in 1996 IIHE has successfully defended its status at two quinquennial reviews, the latest being 2007 September. IIHE is in the process of expanding its operations. With the intended move to the new premises it is anticipated that the portfolio of products will be widened. It is very likely that IIHE will seek associations with other reputed Universities, like University of Wales, from the US, Australia, Canada and Europe in order to provide Sri Lankans with a wider choice.
